An 11-day expedition through the rugged landscapes of Aberdare Ranges, Meru National Park’s dense forests, Marsabit’s otherworldly landscapes, the desolate beauty of the Chalbi Desert, the enchanting shores of Lake Turkana, and the diverse wildlife-rich terrain of Samburu National Reserve offers a thrilling journey through Kenya’s contrasting natural wonders.

From misty peaks to arid expanses, this adventure promises encounters with diverse ecosystems and cultures, encompassing dense forests teeming with unique flora and fauna, otherworldly volcanic craters, and the vast Turkana desert, while providing opportunities to engage with indigenous communities and witness an array of wildlife, making for an unforgettable exploration of Kenya’s wild and enchanting beauty.

Itinerary

Depart from the hotel in the morning for the Aberdare National Park. Arrive around 11:00 a.m., enjoy a safari in the park, and have a picnic lunch, then exit around 5:00 p.m. Spend the night at Mpeta Hotel.

After breakfast, depart for Meru National Park. Arrive around 11:00 a.m., enjoy a game drive to Bwatherongi camp, set up the tents, and prepare lunch. Rest and depart around 4:00 p.m. for a photo safari in the park until sunset.

Safari day with picnic lunch. Return to camp around 4:00 p.m.

Break camp, breakfast, and depart for Marsabit National Park. A short stop in Isiolo for shopping and later continue to Marsabit. Later, have a picnic lunch before entering the park around 4:00 p.m. Embark on a tour of Lake Paradise until sunset. Later, set up camp (mounting the tents) at the Marsabit campsite near Ahmet Gate.

After dismantling the tents and having breakfast, depart for Lake Turkana. There will be a picnic lunch. Later, pitch tents at the Malabo Resort around 5:00 p.m., followed by a short visit to a village in Loiyangalani. Dinner at Malabo Resort.

A fun-filled day with activities like a Lake Turkana tour, swimming in the lake, visiting the desert museum, and cultural tours of El Molo and Turkana villages. Later, stop by a school to donate school supplies.

After breakfast, depart for Ngurunit for rock sliding. Lunch will be served at camp. In the afternoon, a possibility of taking a walk with camels and ending the day with dances from the Samburu people at the camp.

Depart for Sabache near Samburu National Reserve, lunch at the camp, then rest. Possibility of visiting the elephants of Reteti Sanctuary and a nature walk.

After breakfast, depart for Samburu National Reserve. Enter the reserve around 11:00 a.m., and experience a photo safari to the camp around 1:00 p.m. Pitch the tents, prepare lunch, and rest until 4:00 p.m., when you leave for another photo safari until sunset.

After breakfast, leave for a photo safari until 1:00 p.m., then return to camp for lunch. Rest will follow before another safari at 4:00 p.m. until sunset.

After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with a short stop at the Equator line in Nanyuki to see the Coriolis effect. There will be a picnic lunch that day.
