On Day 3, venture to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive, looking for the elusive tree-climbing lions, topis, and buffaloes. Your journey then takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the majestic home of the mountain gorillas, for a trekking safari. Itinerary
Begin your Gorillas and chimps safari by meeting your guide in the morning and leaving Kampala. Learn about the equator before heading to Mbarara for lunch. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park and relax in the evening at the lodge.
In the morning, your guide will take you to Kalinzu Forest for a chimps trek. Enjoy a walk in the beautiful jungle and meet the chimps. After the trek, have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds by the shores.
After breakfast, head to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Spot lions, topis, and buffaloes. Afterward, continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of mountain gorillas.
Your guide will lead you to the starting point of the gorilla trek in the morning. Embark on the trek through the jungle to reach the gorillas, spending an hour with them once you find them. After gorilla trekking, your guide will take you to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi.
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. Stop for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka, depending on the time. Your Gorillas & Chimps safari concludes as your guide drops you off in Kampala/Entebbe.
