Itinerary
Pick up from a city hotel early in the morning as the road trip to Samburu takes about eight hours. But it’ll be a memorable eight hours cruising through towns in central Kenya, into the drier leeward side of Mount Kenya. Arrive in Samburu early afternoon, have lunch, and rest before a game drive.
Explore Samburu National Reserve in the morning, come back to the lodge for breakfast, then go back to the pains to see more species until evening. So, it will be a day to enjoy a bush picnic. Plus, there will be a visit to a Samburu village for a cultural tour.
Enjoy breakfast before a last game drive. By now, you will have seen the rare five and other species like the wild dog, buffalo, and leopard. Later, depart for Nairobi with lunch en route.
